Despite what every gun control and anti-2nd amendment enthusiast will ever admit to…..governments continue to be the main reason why a populace needs to remain armed. As we saw in Egypt, what continues in Libya and now the murderous rampages of the Syrian government….governments continue to be the main reason why a populace should remain armed.
Our Founding Fathers new that tyrannical governments posed serious threats to free people and believed that freedom was a god given right. No freedoms or protections could ever be guaranteed by a government and as such they wanted the people to have the right to keep and bear arms. Not just under the stipulation of a state or federally sponsored militia but as “Individuals”. This is a key concept that Americans need to understand.
