I owned a Delta Elite, when they first came out. Pistol needed work beyond factory, which had cheapened up things. I believe the pistol was about maximum and actually thought a 4.5 inch barrel could have improved things. Springfield has gone with a 8.0 inch barrel, and reduces options for street carry. I will stick with a 1911A1 Series-70. The reason why I bought a 10mm is because I was looking for .45 acp+P loaded slightly hotter. All these years later, it is not a major issue. Why? Because, “ONLY THE HITS COUNT.”
TYPO: “8.0”, should read “6.0” .
Bent fingers. Sorry.
