Good thing the British didn’t try this program–I mean, a couple hundred-plus years ago. 1/3 of the colonists would have taken the deal. 1/3 wouldn’t even have muskets. But, the last 1/3 was all it took to give us the best/only Constitution in the world.
If they’re stupid enough to turn in their guns, then they were too stupid to have guns in the first place.
