How did I miss the publication of this book? I spend a good part of every day wandering around American gun culture, locally and nationally through social media. And it took someone from the outside to tell me about it. That is unfortunate.

Let it Bang: A Young Black Man’s Reluctant Odyssey into Guns is a first person narrative by R.J. Young, a black man from Oklahoma, about his “journey to become an NRA certified pistol instructor.”

It is published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a huge East Coast publisher. I have the book on order now and am looking forward to reading it. If you’ve already read the book, let me know what you thought in the comments.
