You really need to check your facts.

Second- the Programme of Action text quoted is from an entirely different treaty, you guessed it, the Programme of Action which was passed in 2001.
The First Draft of the UN Small Arms Treaty explicitly states that it imposes no restrictions whatsoever on gun ownership and affirms the rights of all nations and states to make their own laws on gun ownership.”…Reaffirming the sovereign right and responsibility of any State to regulate and control transfers of conventional arms that take place exclusively within its territory, pursuant to its own legal or constitutional systems;”
And of course, even if the Obama administration signs the UN Small Arms treaty, it still must be ratified by a 2/3 vote of the US Senate. And even if that occurs, it can in no way override the 2nd amendment (or any part of the US Constitution for that matter)
The UN Small Arms Treaty has absolutely nothing to do with private gun ownership as relevant to the US. It’s sole purpose is to reign in the illegal trade in weapons to groups such as dictators, cartels, organized crime, terrorist groups, etc.
If enacted there is only one effect american gun owners are likely to see. A rise in cost of firearms as american manufacturers loose a profitable market selling huge volumes of guns to dictators, organized crimes, terrorists, cartels, etc.
Since your main purpose seems to be slamming “ONLY” US manufacturers who you say are supplying dictators, organized crime, terrorists, cartels, etc. can you please provide positive proof?
I suspect that China, Iran and many other countries have the corner on the market, unless of course you are including our current administration that handed over :thousands” of firearms willfully and intentionally to Mexican Drug Cartels as you stated which resulted in Americans being killed.
As for me and other American’s having to pay MORE for our guns…. that too is in essence a “Gun Grab” maybe not in “Form” but definitely in “Function” as it makes it more expensive for the hard working American, Law Abiding citizen to purchase and own a gun.

And of course you DO realize that most of the other countries you mention have rather strict gun laws? Yes- their GOVERNMENTS often supply undesirables. And yes, there is a black market- usually composed of their own countries organzied crime rings often in some combination with their current or ex military and government officials. But it pales in comparison to the size and scope of americas involvement in the illicit arms trade- to the extent that these countries often only dominate in two categories- cheap weapons, and heavy weapons.
And I see you’re still sputtering about “fast and furious”. A locally run and authorized DOJ operation itself a continuation of the same Bush era program. One that was trying to deal with 2 simple facts: 1) the large majority of cartel weapons originate for a few dozen gun shops in the US that knowingly and willingly sell hundreds or thousands of weapons to straw purchasers and 2) the BATFE and other law enforcement being hindered in doing anything thanks to our current gun laws.

Again, most of your cited articles confirm my earlier comments. You incorrectly state that FFL’s are knowingly allowing straw purchases which is not correct and against the law, as they would have their licenses revoked!

The BATFE instructed that the Straw purchases take place as part of the “Fast & Furious” gun walking scheme with the false pretense that they would some how mistakenly and magically trace and track the guns. “Gun walking” or “letting guns walk” was a tactic whereby the ATF “purposely allowed licensed firearms dealers to sell weapons to illegal straw buyers, hoping to track the guns to Mexican drug cartel leaders.”The stated goal of allowing these purchases was to continue to track the firearms as they were transferred to higher-level traffickers and key figures in Mexican cartels, with the expectation that this would lead to their arrests and the dismantling of the cartels.[7][8][9] The tactic was questioned during the operations by a number of people, including ATF field agents and cooperating licensed gun dealers.[10][11][12][13][14] During Operation Fast and Furious, by far the largest “gunwalking” probe, the ATF monitored the sale of about 2,000[1]:203[15] firearms, of which only 710 were recovered as of February 2012.[1]:203 A number of straw purchasers have been arrested and indicted; however, as of October 2011, none of the targeted high-level cartel figures have been arrested.[7]
